Condition Guide

Items sourced by the archive are pre-owned unless otherwise stated. Each has lived a previous life and may carry subtle signs of its history - part of what makes vintage so special.

By shopping pre-loved, you're embracing a more considered approach to fashion, extending the life of timeless pieces and giving them a new chapter.

To help you shop with confidence, we've created the following condition guide outlining what to expect from your purchase. We recommend carefully reviewing all product photographs and descriptions before placing an order, as each piece is unique.

EXCELLENT
Pieces in excellent condition have been exceptionally well cared for, retaining their original shape and appearance with little to no visible signs of wear. Any minor imperfections will be noted in the product description.

VERY GOOD
Pieces in very good condition have been gently used and show light signs of wear consistent with previous ownership. This may include subtle wear to the corners, handles, straps or interior. Any notable imperfections will be detailed in the product description.

GOOD
Pieces in good condition show more noticeable signs of previous use while remaining in good overall condition. This may include discolouration, fading, scratches to the hardware or wear to the leather and corners. These characteristics are reflected in the price.

FAIR
Pieces in fair condition have been well loved and show more prominent signs of wear throughout. This may include visible marks, discolouration, scratches or changes to the material's original appearance. Despite these imperfections, each piece remains functional and retains its unique vintage appeal.
